![]() ![]() I'm anxious like you to see where we can go next and what we can do with more monitors and alternate setups etc, but some patience still seems to be required. Complicate that with two leading industry chipset manufacturers developing their own (although similar) technologies and there is a lot going on to agree on the standardization for the industry.Īlso, the industry hasn't even really fully realized or embraced surround gaming with 3 monitors in the same orientation (be that landscape or orientation), and although more games are supporting it all the time, and it is becoming more common I feel like the industry hasn't quite standardized or come to the point where every developer has the capability and / or desire to code in or fully support either nvidia's surround gaming or amd's eyefinity. The card manufacturers can program the cards with the capability to do those things, but the individual game engines (of which there could be infinite numbers) still have to utilize those features or even be able to support them. It's up to any given product developer to decide whether they will support surround gaming, or portrait-landscape-portrait gaming, or 3d gaming etc etc. Seems to me that a video card manufacturer will never really be able to guarantee that EVERY game will run according to your specific needs. Its not about not having the gear its about industry support to "play it my way". ![]() Originally posted by marcus134:If you don't want to splurge on a new gpu you can always grab a matrox triplehead2goītw, i'm not one of these steam kids that has to wait for Christmas or pick up an extra paper route to buy what i want. ![]()
